Manav Sthali School, New Rajendra Nagar, hosted Perceptions 2024, a two-day literary fest under the umbrella of Manifestations 2024, on October 7th and 8th, 2024. This year’s theme, Holistic Wellness, highlighted the importance of nurturing well-being across physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and environmental dimensions. The event also aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, raising awareness and fostering meaningful dialogues around wellness for all ages.
Under the visionary leadership of Director and Founder Principal, Mrs. Mamta V. Bhatnagar, the event unfolded as a grand celebration of young talent, creativity, and intellectual curiosity. The fest offered students opportunities to demonstrate their literary prowess across diverse activities, truly making Perceptions the pride of the school’s literature festival.
With 19 schools participating, the event commenced on October 7th with a Lamp Lighting Ceremony, setting the stage for a series of enriching competitions:
• Wellness Whispers: A dialogue conversation event featuring young minds, judged by Ms. Sugandha Bajaj, a teaching enthusiast, and Ms. Priya Rathi, a Certified Parenting Coach from DEEP Parenting.
• Hindi Poetry (Kavita Vachan): Focusing on Social Wellness, this event for grades IX-X was judged by Dr. Vinita Sharma, Hindi HOD.
• Sanskrit Shlok Uchcharan: Exceptionally performed by students of grades VII and VIII, judged by Professor Sujata Tripathi.
The second day featured engaging stage competitions in foreign languages:
• German and French Role Play: Students from grades VI to VIII portrayed personalities or objects from Germany and France. The German event was judged by Mr. Saurabh Bajaj, an E-commerce expert, and the French event by Ms. Richa Nagpal, an education expert.
The highlight of the fest was the Quiz on the theme “Mind, Body, and Beyond”, which was won by Manav Sthali School, followed by Maharaja Agrasen School in second place and Bhatnagar International School in third place. The quiz sparked curiosity, fostered critical thinking, and expanded students’ knowledge in literature, humanities, and holistic wellness.
The fest concluded with an Award Ceremony, honouring participants who demonstrated exceptional creativity and insight. Trophies and certificates were presented each day by the respective judges, and teacher mentors were appreciated for their guidance. Principal Mrs. Dipti A. Bhatnagar’s leadership and commitment to empowering youth was instrumental in the success of Perceptions 2024. Her vision emphasized the development of critical skills in literature while fostering students’ growth as successful, respectful individuals. The Manav Sthali Humanities Association (MSHA) was also felicitated for their dedicated efforts and invaluable contribution to the success of the event.
The event was coordinated by Ms. Neetu Kohli, Ms. Gurpreet Kaur, Ms. Sheetal, and Ms. Pooja Jain, supported by Ms. Mani, Ms. Shikha Arora, Ms. Subrata, Ms. Manjari, Ms. Ravinder, Ms. Neela, Mr. Amitabh, Ms. Jasneet, and Ms. Tapasya. Media coordination was handled by Ms. Meenakshi Sharma and Ms. Priyanka NagpalPerceptions 2024 has left a lasting impression on students and the wider community, inspiring further engagement with literature, wellness, and global issues.
The event concluded with a Vote of thanks, marking the end of a memorable celebration of knowledge and school spirit.
