Manav Sthali School hosts the Dr. V.K. Bhatnagar Memorial 4th Inter-School Moot Court Competition

Manav Sthali School, under the aegis of the Department of Legal Studies and the MSS Bar Association, hosted the Dr. V.K. Bhatnagar Memorial 4th Inter-School Moot Court Competition on August 30, 2025. Guided by the vision of Director and Founder Principal, Mrs. Mamta V. Bhatnagar, the event brought together 15 schools from across the region, offering young minds not only a platform to sharpen their advocacy skills but also an insight into law as a potential career path as they prepare to make crucial academic choices.

The school was honoured to welcome Shri Vikas Singh, Senior Advocate, President of the Supreme Court Bar Association and former Additional Solicitor General of India, and Dr. C.J. Rawandale, Director, Symbiosis Law School, Noida (Symbiosis International University), as Chief Guests. Their presence and inspiring addresses encouraged students to uphold values, academic excellence, and professional ethics.

The competition was judged by a distinguished panel of Supreme Court advocate on records, senior academics, and corporate legal experts and law firm partners including Ms. Tulika Mukherjee, Dr. Megha Nagpal, Ms. Amrita Singh, Dr. Vinayak Jhamb, Ms. Monica Maheshwari, Mr. Ankit Shrivastava, Ms. Kiran Shukla, and Dr. Azad Singh. The Grand Finale Bench further included Mr. Mohit Jolly Advocate, Delhi high court and Prof. (Dr.) Mandeep Kumar, whose collective expertise in litigation, corporate advisory, arbitration, and legal research added immense value to the proceedings.

The participating schools competed vigorously and performed astoundingly, displaying high levels of research, clarity, and persuasive argumentation. After rounds of spirited rebuttals and sharp submissions, Bloom Public School emerged as the winner of the competition, while Gyanshree School, Noida and Manav Sthali School (R Block) jointly secured the second position. Modern School, Vasant Vihar claimed the third place, there were other categories of awards also given to acknowled various aspects of mooting with all finalist teams displaying commendable research, clarity of arguments, and confidence in presentation.

Advocate Shikha Bhardwaj Jolly, Head of the Department of Legal Studies, coordinated the event with faculty in-charges Ms. Anjali Bhutani and Ms. Yogita Sharma. Special acknowledgment was given to Ms. Himrekha, Ms. Shalu Bajaj, Ms. Nidhi Kapoor, Ms. Poonam Sachdeva, Ms. Poonam Sareen, Ms. Anjali Gulathi, and Ms. Tapasya Banarjee, along with a dedicated group of 15 teachers and MSS Bar Council students, whose collective efforts ensured the flawless execution of the competition.

The competition was steered under the leadership of Mrs. Dipti A. Bhatnagar, Principal, who thanked the dignitaries, judges, and schools for making the event a success. In her address,she remarked:
“A Moot Court is more than a competition — it is an arena where young minds learn to think critically, argue logically, and respect the rule of law. It equips our students with skills that transcend the courtroom: confidence, discipline, and the courage to stand for truth.”
With this initiative, Manav Sthali School reaffirms its commitment to experiential learning, holistic development, and nurturing global citizens who lead with wisdom and values
