The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers, Chandrapur Local Chapter, organized a two-day webinar titled “Unlocking Career Potentials in the IT Sector” at Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering, Research and Technology, Chandrapur. Ms. Kamini Singh, Founder of Addysan Innovations in Noida and an esteemed alumna of the college, was the guest speaker for the event. Dr. R.K. Krishna, Dr. Rajesh Thombre, and Dr. Anjum Qureshi were present for the inauguration of a two-day webinar. The webinar was organized under the guidance of Vinod Dattatray, President of the Sardar Patel Memorial Society, Rajiv Welankiwar, Secretary, and Dr. Anil Chitade, Principal of the college.
In his introductory remarks, Dr. R. K. Krishna, Head of the Department, expressed pride in Ms. Singh’s journey from a student to a successful entrepreneur. He encouraged students to make the most of the mentorship provided during the two-day session, emphasizing that insights from industry professionals offer valuable exposure to real-world skills and expectations.
Dr. Rajesh Thombre further highlighted the importance of such initiatives, noting that they play a vital role in preparing students to become industry-ready professionals, rather than merely graduates.
During the event, Kamini Singh delivered an insightful presentation on the essential skills that aspiring engineers must develop to secure positions in reputable companies. She elaborated on the evolving landscape of job requirements across various sectors, emphasizing the specific competencies that employers seek in fresh graduates. Furthermore, Singh highlighted the importance of continuous learning and integrity, asserting that these qualities often hold greater value than a formal degree in building a successful career. Dr. Anjum Qureshi, staff coordinator, conducted the program, while Ayush Ramidwar was the student coordinator and proposed the vote of thanks. Utkarsh Nagapure, Tushar Meshram, and Mahek Qureshi contributed significantly to the organization of the event. A substantial number of students participated, many of whom interacted with Kamini Singh during the question-and-answer session, seeking guidance on their career paths.
