Manav Sthali School, New Rajendra Nagar, proudly hosted the Ethnic Fiesta, celebrating Janmashtami, as part of its annual inter-school cultural extravaganza Manifestations 2025 — a platform that merges creativity, tradition, and global responsibility. This year’s overarching festival theme is rooted in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), celebrating the power of cultural heritage to educate, inspire harmony, and promote peaceful coexistence.
The Ethnic Fiesta seamlessly merged with this vision by offering students an opportunity to explore and express India’s diverse traditions while reflecting on universal values of compassion, tolerance, and unity, as depicted in the teachings of Lord Krishna. Students of Classes VI and VII brought the stage alive with their vibrant performances, including the energetic Vithal dance, eloquent poetry renditions on Krishna’s chronicles, and the Namami Krishna musical dance-drama. The audience, which included proud parents, teachers, and invited guests, was deeply moved by the enthusiasm and dedication on display.
Director and Founder Principal, Mrs. Mamta V. Bhatnagar’s visionary leadership and unwavering encouragement have always inspired the Manav Sthali family to blend academic excellence with cultural values and a global outlook. Her words of motivation reminded students that cultural awareness is as essential as intellectual growth in shaping responsible citizens of tomorrow.
The event was graced by Shri Premanjana Das, an alumnus of Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology (now Netaji Subhash University) in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, who embraced monastic life at ISKCON Punjabi Bagh. For the past 15 years, he has been sharing the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita across the country. In his thought-provoking speech, he drew from ISKCON’s teachings to highlight the four pillars of Dharma — truth, compassion, purity, and tapasya (self-discipline). He urged students to live with integrity, extend kindness to all beings, uphold purity in thoughts and actions, and cultivate self-control as a path to inner peace and lasting fulfilment.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Mrs. Dipti A. Bhatnagar remarked:
“Manifestations 2025 is our commitment to nurturing not just talented students but conscious global citizens. Ethnic Fiesta is a beautiful embodiment of the vision of Janmashtami — where heritage meets harmony and culture becomes a bridge to peace. Today’s performances by our Class VI and VII students, along with Shri Premanjana Das’s message, have given our young learners both pride in their roots and a vision for a more united future.”
The Ethnic Fiesta concluded with resounding applause, as the collective efforts of students, teachers, and coordinators transformed the event into a vibrant celebration of tradition, education, and universal brotherhood — perfectly aligning with the spirit of Manifestations 2025 and the values of the SDGs it upholds.
