Manav Sthali School, Delhi successfully organized Udaan-II program on 25th September under the guidance of Director and Founder Principal Smt. Mamta V. Bhatnagar. The event dedicated to empowering children with special needs (CWSN), inclusivity and strengthening the school’s commitment towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was supported by Principal Mrs. Deepti A Bhatnagar. The chief guest of the event, para-athlete and Paris 2024 Paralympics bronze medalist Ms. Simran Sharma, inspired the audience with her stories of resilience and inclusivity. Her journey of struggle inspired students and attendees alike, creating a wonderful atmosphere for a day of celebration and achievement. Mr. Gajendra Singh who is a para-athletic coach trained Ms. Sharma for the Paralympics. During this, exciting sports competitions and an attractive talent quest were organized. Students from schools across Delhi showcased their abilities in music, painting, dance and athletics. UDAN-II provided a valuable platform to these students to showcase their talent in line with the principles of SDG 10 (Reducing Inequalities) and SDG 4 (Quality Education). After the competitions, a grand prize distribution ceremony was held to felicitate the participants. All students were awarded special medals inscribed “I am an Achiever” in recognition of their efforts and participation. The winners in various events were honored with trophies acknowledging their excellent performance and contribution to the event. This gesture ensured that every participant felt valued and motivated. The program was conducted by Ms. Suniti, supported by Ms. Madhu Kakkar and special teachers Ms. Dolci and Ms. Navadha and counselor Ms. Varnika. The reception team of Ms. Achala and Ms. Ekta ensured smooth arrival and welcome of all the guests.
Udaan II reaffirmed Manav Sthaali School’s mission to develop an inclusive, compassionate and supportive learning environment with an emphasis on diversity and equal opportunities for all students.
