PERCEPTIONS 2026: Where Language, Literature and New Perspectives Come Alive
Manav Sthali School hosted Perceptions 2026, its much-awaited Inter-School Language Fest, on 29th July 2026, as a significant literary and linguistic segment of the fourth edition of Manifestations 2026, themed “Mindset Reset – Exploring the Self.” Under the guidance of the esteemed Director and Chairperson, Mrs. Mamta V. Bhatnagar, the fest encouraged students to rethink perspectives, communicate confidently and explore the power of language as a medium of thought, identity and expression.
Around 120 students from 17 schools across Delhi and NCR participated, including Springdales School, Delhi Public School, Bhatnagar International School, Salwan Public School and Army Public School. The event brought together linguistic talent, creativity and youthful perspectives through five thoughtfully designed competitions.
The English Extempore tested spontaneity, clarity and confidence, with participants responding to thought-provoking topics on the spot. It was judged by Ms Poonam Vohra, HOD – English, Rukmani Devi School, who evaluated content, expression and presence of mind.
Hindi आशुभाषण (Ashubhashan) challenged students to articulate ideas spontaneously with fluency and eloquence. Ms Laghima Chowdhury, TGT – Hindi, Lady Irwin School, University of Delhi, assessed the participants on thought, language and effective delivery.
Sanskrit श्लोकोच्चारण (Shlokaucharan) celebrated India’s classical heritage through pronunciation, rhythm and expression. Mr Prem Ballabh Deoli, Assistant Professor, Bharti College, University of Delhi, brought academic insight to the evaluation, highlighting the continuing relevance of classical languages.
The French skit, Bien-être Traditionnel, blended language with theatre, teamwork and creativity. Ms Shalini Bansal, Guest Lecturer, Keshav Mahavidyalaya and Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, assessed the students’ linguistic proficiency and expressive ability.
German’s Traditionelles Wohlbefinden similarly brought language alive through characterisation, dialogue and collaborative performance. Ms Monika Handa, German Teacher, Delhi Public School International, R.K. Puram, evaluated the participants’ confidence, creativity and communication.
Across the competitions, the distinguished panel brought academic rigour and impartiality, appreciating the students’ spontaneity, linguistic competence, creativity, stage presence and ability to approach ideas from fresh perspectives. The spirit of “Mindset Reset” resonated throughout as participants were encouraged to question, interpret, improvise and find their individual voices.
Under the able leadership of Principal, Dr. Dipti A. Bhatnagar, Perceptions 2026 furthered the school’s vision of holistic education by nurturing confident communicators and promoting multilingualism and cultural appreciation. On Guru Purnima, she led the students in expressing gratitude to their gurus, culminating in a heartfelt standing ovation for their mentors and a special acknowledgement of the vision and mentorship of Chairperson Mrs. Mamta V. Bhatnagar.
The event concluded with the Principal’s inspiring message that “talent knows no boundaries and determination can make every dream take flight,” encouraging students to believe in themselves, embrace opportunities, keep learning and continue to soar.
The smooth conduct of Perceptions 2026 was ensured through the dedicated coordination of Ms Shobna and Ms Sonia, supported by Ms Subrata, Ms Vandana Sharma, Mr Amitabh and Ms Neela. Mr Ranjit enhanced the event’s visual identity through banners and displays across the school exterior, interior spaces and auditorium.
Perceptions 2026 reaffirmed Manav Sthali School’s commitment to nurturing articulate, confident and culturally aware young individuals. By bringing together English, Hindi, Sanskrit, French and German, the fest celebrated language as a bridge to thought, culture, creativity and new perspectives.
